May Wrap Up!

Today I’m here to give a short overview of the books I accomplished reading in May. Many of which were not on my TBR for May, but that’s not really that important. I was able to read a lot of books this month, a lot of which I really loved.

For about half of the books, I read this month the review is already posted. For the other books, those reviews will be up soon. I have been in a bit of a writing slump because I was so busy for a few weeks. I hope to catch up with my reviews as soon as I can.

This month was an alright reading month. I read a few very good books and the rest were pretty average. I did read my favorite book of the year and probably the past year this month. That was a Court of Mist and Fury. My review for that will be up very soon.

Let me know what books you read this month down below. If you read any of these books let me know! I’d love to discus them with you!

April Wrap Up

So this was my first full blogging month, and I loved it! I have totally fallen in love with blogging and posting my thoughts and feelings about books. I love it even more when I am able to talk to people about these books.

But because it was my first official blogging month I also read a whole lot of books! When I looked at my read pile for April on Goodreads I was shocked and so proud! Here I will just post the books I read this month and the rating I gave them (if I haven’t reviewed the book yet I will not post the rating)

So I read 11 books this month! Which is amazing! Of those 11, three were 5 star ratings. Now that I look at it I may upgrade the Jewel to a 3.5 out of 5 stars because I did enjoy that book more than the Selection books. I think I was too brutal because besides the instalove, I enjoyed most of the story and it was quite original.

I also dnf’ed (did not finish) two books, which I really don’t mind. I know a lot of people don’t like stopping books but I honestly believe that life it too short to read bad books.

Furthermore, I  haven’t reviewed the Program yet but it will probably end up pretty high on the list because I really enjoyed that book.

These were all the books I read this month. I think I can say I had a pretty great reading month! Let me know what books you read this month and if you read any of the books I read what you thought of them!

I will be posting my May TBR soon!

March Wrap Up & April TBR

This month’s wrap up is going to be pretty short because I was very busy with work and uni. However, I was able to read a few lighthearted novels. I usually try to read 6 books a month, so I sadly wasn’t able to reach that number. I will be writing reviews for most of these books, so I won’t go into too much detail of what I thought of the books.

  1. First up, I read the Selection by Kiera Cass

I’d like to say I liked this book the most of the three books I read in this series so far. I liked America’s firey attitude and Maxon’s sweet demeanor. However I did find it to get off to a slow start. But once I got into it, it was a nice quick read.
  2. Afterwards, I of course read the Elite by Kiera Cass.

I found myself getting frustrated with this book a bit more than with the other books in this series. I also would have hoped to have a bit more action in this book. However, I did like the book and will be continuing the series.
  3. I also reread Divergent by Veronica Roth

Still loved it 🙂 Not much more to say. If you haven’t read this book yet, I highly recommend it!

So like I said, I didn’t hit the six books I usually try to read. However, I will have more time to read in April, so hopefully I’ll be able to read six or maybe even more books then. I haven’t planned out all the books I am going to be reading in April. But I have decided on a few. I will be reading the One by Kiera Cass, the Heir by Kiera Cass, Aurelia by Anne Osterlund (I know it’s an old novel, I just saw it on my shelves and realized it was still on my tbr) and Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard.
For the rest I am not sure yet. So if any of you have some suggestions, let me know!
